Special Worship Services

Throughout the year, we gather for worship in special ways as we celebrate the seasons of the church year, remember those who have shaped our faith, and give thanks for the community we share.

From Reformation Sunday and All Saints Sunday to Friendship Sunday and other special celebrations, each service offers an opportunity to worship, reflect, connect, and experience God’s presence together.

Join us for these meaningful Sundays as we celebrate where we’ve been, where we are, and where God is leading us next. Everyone is welcome!

God's Work. Our Hands.

We’re putting our faith into action for God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday!

On this special day of service, we’ll step beyond our church walls and work alongside our community. From quilting and painting at WG Pearson to supporting Lowe’s Grove Middle School and caring for the magnolia trees in Parkwood, we’ll use our time, talents, and hands to serve our neighbors.

It’s a day to remember that God’s work happens through all of us—through every stitch, every brushstroke, every helping hand, and every act of kindness.

Come be part of the work! Everyone has something to offer, and every hand can make a difference.

“Serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” — 1 Peter 4:10

Friendship Sunday

Come celebrate the gift of friendship with us on Friendship Sunday, October 11!

Everyone is invited—bring a friend, invite a neighbor, or simply come as you are! We’ll gather for a special time of worship, fellowship, and celebrating the people who make our lives richer.

Whether you’ve been part of CVLC for years or this is your very first visit, there’s a place for you here. We’d love to see you and your friends!
